Enrique Ortiz is the Program Director for the Andes Amazon Fund, a conservation initiative launched from blue moon fund’s Tropical Americas program. Previously, he was blue moon’s Tropical Americas Program Director.

Enrique is one of Peru’s most respected conservationists, having established one of the first environmental working groups in Peru (APECO). During blue moon fund’s history he has been a key asset in guiding the Foundation’s Andes/Amazon work. He holds accomplished scientific credentials as an authority on rainforest management and has worked with major groups such as Conservation International, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.  He is a co-founder of the Amazon Conservation Association.
